For the last week and a half I have had the opportunity to work along side Secret Service and White House staff personnel to coordinate a visit by the First Lady, Laura Bush. Yesterday we were part of the mission greeting her when she arrived and today I was able to shake her hand a couple times. I was also able to get a few photos up close with her. As a side perk I was able to meet (and get a picture with) Greta Van Susteren from FOX News’ On the Record with Greta.
I have uploaded some videos (very shaky and poor quality) and some pictures (mostly blury). I will try to get some better photos from my friend who was one of the photographers for the event.
I was just about to upload some more pictures from China but then I remembered I had videos that I had to upload to. These are some videos from the folk village and circus we went to. Some of them are kind of stupid and I will probably delete them later.
I have been playing with my PSP quite a bit for the last few days. A lot of new homebrew has come out since the last time I played with it a couple months ago. I upgraded to a custom firmware (3.52 M33-4) and have found out how to play PS1 games and do video out to my PC through the USB port. Now all I need is a working VoIP client.
I think the PSP was my best investment yet. I gave my second PSP to Esther while I was in China and she has been loving it as well.
Speaking of China, I have been uploading about 20 pics a day to my gallery. I would like to upload them all at once but my connection is so crappy here that they keep timing out.
Well as you may have noticed I haven’t been posting recently. This is mainly because of lack of time. Quite a bit has happened in the last few months but I will start from 2 weeks ago.
On 24 Sep I went on vacation to China where I spent 2 amazing weeks with Esther. We went all over the place including: 2 days in Hong Kong, 2 weeks in Guanzhou (province in mainland China), and 1 day in Macau. I took hundreds of pictures which I have uploaded many of but still have about 200 left to upload. You can view them in the Gallery.
When I came back from leave yesterday I started my new job working in the ARCENT JVB (Army Central Command Joint Visitor’s Beuro). I like this job much more than my last because I am able to get out of the office and do more exciting things. I’m sure I will have much more to write about these next few months than I did in my last job.
